Contribute the kind of care you would want for your own family.

How we work

  • Caseloads you can be proud of. Small on purpose, so you know your patients and their families.
  • Continuity. Your patients, visit after visit, not a rotating roster.
  • Founder-led and local. Decisions are made in Carmel by people who also do the work.
  • Real support. Mileage and phone reimbursement, a vehicle maintenance allowance for field staff, paid holidays, and an approach to time off built on trust and coverage.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers are not an extra at Oak Grove; they are part of the plan of care. We are looking for people who can give a few hours a month to:

  • Companionship: sit, listen, read aloud, play cards, be there
  • Vigil: presence in the final hours so no one is alone
  • Legacy work: record life stories, help with letters, gather recipes and playlists
  • Caregiver relief: an hour so a spouse can nap, shop, or breathe
  • Remembrance: help with our annual remembrance gathering
  • Paws for Comfort: gentle, well-mannered dogs and their volunteer handlers who visit patients who would welcome a calm, friendly presence
  • Office and outreach: mailings, events, and community education

We provide training, a background check, and ongoing support. No medical background is needed. Steadiness and a good heart are.
