What a visit is like
A handler and dog come to wherever you are, for as long as feels right, often twenty to forty minutes. A visit is a reason to smile, a hand on soft fur, and a few minutes that are not about illness. If the day turns out to be a hard one, we reschedule. No one is ever obligated to keep a visit.
Our dogs are friendly family pets with volunteer handlers. They are not certified therapy or service animals, and a visit is a companionship activity, not a treatment.
